Road Race
Friday, 8 am
Meet at the registration table at least 15 minutes prior to the start time. Kids will run about one mile. Adults will run about a 5K. Medals will be handed out at the awards BBQ to the winners of each division.

Shed Antler Contest
Only Nebraska sheds will be scored
Register your Nebraska shed antler find with the merry gang of Pope & Young scorers to see how your antlers ‘measure up.’  There is a $1 entry fee for each shed entered. Awards will be given to the top three scoring sheds in each category including Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Elk and Pronghorn. The sheds don’t have to be recent but they do have to be from Nebraska.

We offer some awesome NBA merchandise at the event. Be sure to take time to swing into their tables and view what they have to offer. Merchandise hours will be posted at the registration table.

Delmer Braithwaite Memorial Highway Clean-Up
Each year a group of NBA members gathers together Friday morning and heads out to do some Highway clean-up along Highway 2 that runs right by the National Forest. It is a great way for us to give back to the area along with doing our part in keeping Nebraska clean and beautiful. If you feel like volunteering please ask for details at the registration table and we will be glad to fill you in on how you can help.

Halsey VFD Benefit Breakfast
This annual event is a great fundraiser hosted by the Halsey Volunteer Fire Hall on Saturday morning. Free-will donations are greatly appreciated to help cover breakfast costs and raise funds for firefighting equipment.

Statewide Meeting
At 11 am on Friday, NBA Board, officers, and members will gather at the picnic shelter for our statewide meeting. We will discuss the financial standing of our club, the direction of the club, legislative issues that may pertain to bow hunting or outdoor activities in the state, along with any concerns or ideas anyone may have. We encourage all NBA members to attend this meeting and hear what your club is all about. It is a great way to have your voice heard and/or see where the organization is headed in the future.

Saturday Night Church Service
Saturday night, directly following the barbecue and auctions, there will be a church service held at the main picnic shelter. Pastor Keith Cline, who is a wonderful Christian leader, devout Bow-hunter, and longtime NBA member will lead a short worship service. Please plan to stick around and enjoy this time of worship and fellowship for our great God!

About us

In 1984, the idea of an organization that would bring bowhunters together with a common goal to preserve and protect bowhunting was formed and the Nebraska Bowhunters Association (NBA) was born. Now, the NBA is one of Nebraska's premier hunting organizations, with a growing membership, family friendly events, and a firm passion to continue to preserve and promote bowhunting in Nebraska.

Become a member

Although bowhunting is often a private, quiet affair, members of the NBA benefit greatly from organizing together. Besides the political clout and united front against those opposed to hunting, the camaraderie is perhaps the best bargain for the money. NBA members meet across the state throughout the year at our Banquet in March and Jamboree in August. We would love to have you join us!
